645

Everyone has something unique and valuable to share. Join us HERE at 6:30 pm for 645 at the Spot Tavern. It's FREE - there's no cover charge - and we’ll have a featured cocktail especially for this event, inspired by the presentations.  We’re shining a spotlight to stories of hard work, brilliant ideas, and creative projects. At 645, presenters share their stories in just 6 minutes and 45 seconds. Join us for a night celebrating the human experience and local creative spirit. Our first presentation is from Patrick Austin. Patrick started the 7SIX5 Live Streaming Radio station. He'll be talking with us about community engagement through streaming media and why it's a powerful platform for local news and happenings. He's going to be LIVE streaming our event from the Spot on the station! You can download the radio app on itunes here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/765-live-streaming-radio/id1300749265?mt=8Polly will be sharing her story of going from cynic to zero waste maven. Just three years ago Polly's eco-conscious dreams were (literally) trashed. Since then, she's gone from someone deeply cynical about environmental efforts to someone who creates less trash in a month than most make in a day. Polly will share the surprising way small efforts can make anyone feel empowered to enact change. You can check out her blog here: http://greenindyblog.comNext up is Scott Freeman. Scott has 40+ years in festival production including the TASTE of Tippecanoe, ODPC FunFest (Michigan), Walnut Valley Festival (Kansas), Uptown Jazz & Blues Festival and the Indiana Fiddlers' Gathering. He will share how he and a group of committed volunteers are bringing a new festival to Greater Lafayette! Ouibache is a new Americana/Roots festival that will set a new standard for how music and art events are presented. Tickets to the festival are on sale now! https://ouibache.comWe end the evening with laughter, featuring One Size Fits All Improv, the longest-running improv comedy group in the history of Tippecanoe County. The group will lead attendees through improv exercises that can be used in your personal life and business life. Or, perhaps you'll become the next big Hollywood comedy star (in which case, OSFA will take a teeny tiny percentage).
